One of the highest EAPL ratings in the history of the party

There would be seven parties entering the Seimas, i.e. Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania and six other parties, if the elections took place tomorrow. This was the information provided according to the latest poll of political preferences of the residents of Lithuania.
There was a survey conducted by the Baltijos tyrimai poll agency on the request of ELTA news agency. The survey indicated that the support for the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania (EAPL) was 4,6 percent (excluding about 30 percent of voters do not intending to participate in the elections) in February.

This result has put EAPL among the seven political parties that would enter the Parliament if the elections were held tomorrow.

Even 28,9 percent of respondents stated that they will not take part in the elections or did not know how to answer.

If the method used for determining the popularity of parties implied in other countries, eg. Poland, when the respondents not intending to participate in the elections or undecided ones are not taken into account, was used, the support of EAPL would be amounted to more than 6,5 perc.

Lithuanian poll agencies are inaccurate when predicting the results of EAPL and its leader Valdemar Tomaševski in elections. This happens due to the specificity of carrying out surveys in regions and the particular attitudes of individuals and entities outsourcing the conduction of surveys.

Before the last presidential elections in 2014 the surveys carried out indicated the 1,1 percent of support for Valdemar Tomaševski, but he received 8,4 percent of votes
during the actual elections.

In 2014, polls predicted only 2 percent support for the EAPL, while the group received 8 percent of votes. That is four times more than the forecast assumed.

There was also a huge gap between survey results and actual voters support for EAPL before the last local elections.

Considering the fact that all poll agencies in Lithuania significantly underestimate the support ratings for the EAPL and taking into account the dynamics of a stable support for the party, it must be assumed that nowadays the group enjoys its popularity at the level of double-digit result.
