Statement of the Main Board of the Association of Poles in Lithuania
In connection with the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, the Association of Poles in Lithuania expresses its support for our compatriots and all the inhabitants of Ukraine. We are together with you in our thoughts and prayers, and we are going through these difficult moments together.
The Association of Poles in Lithuania condemns the actions of the Kremlin. War has never been and will never be a method of conflict resolution, and there is no justification for it, even in a situation of concern for the rights of ones’ compatriots in other countries.
We call for the intensification of all measures to protect civilians and for continued efforts to ensure peace. We appeal for participation in the novena of the rosary with the intention of restoring peace in Ukraine and praying for peace in Europe and around the world.
