New name of EAPL

During the 8th reporting-elective convention of the EAPL party, delegates unanimously made amendments to the Statute of EAPL. The most important change was the addition made to the name of the party. From now on the new name of the party will be ‘Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance’ (EAPL-CFA). Read more

EAPL submitted draft laws increasing the incomes of families and pensioners

‘Once again we would like to raise the topic of the extremely bad social situation in our country and government inaction in solving social problems such as difficult situations of families with children, problems of emigration, incomes inadequate to the needs of residents, poverty, tax diversity,’ said Rita Tamašunienė, chairwoman of the EAPL faction in Seimas during the press conference which took place last week in the Lithuanian Parliament. EAPL is seeking to increase family incomes

The proposal to tax financial institutions’ and insurance companies’ properties (assets) has been made in Lithuania. Members of the Seimas faction of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania (EAPL) have registered appropriate draft laws on taxation of financial institutions and Tax Law in the Lithuanian Seimas. Helpful EAPL initiative

Last week (17th March) the Seimas has adopted the amendments of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania (EAPL) whose aim is to decrease the VAT on the most necessary food to 5 %. Read more

Surprisingly mild punishment for numerous crimes

Nerijus Janulevičius (24 years old) and his friend Jaroslav Malinovski (23 years old) were sentenced for only 8 months of public works for as much as three actions eligible under the Penalty Code: incitement to national strife, threats of assassination and the profanation of the Mausoleum of Marshal Józef Piłsudski in the Rasos Cemetery.
